Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC has a little something different up its sleeves for this year’s Farm to Second Harvest event, and it promises an experience that's truly out of this world!  

 

Winston-Salem's top restaurants and chefs will come together in a pop-up food hall set against a backdrop of quirky, campy, offbeat fun.

 

It's a cosmic celebration of the universal language of food, showcasing its power to connect us to our neighbors near and far.

Food & Libation Stations

Experience a fusion of traditional pitmaster barbecue techniques and out-of-this-world flavors. Guests will indulge in a variety of smoked meats, tantalizing sauces, and side dishes, all expertly prepared by skilled pitmaster Chef Daryl Pobanz, Director of Culinary Education for Second Harvest Food Bank's Providence, Claire Calvin's East of Texas, and Jared Lee of Cheney Brothers Foodservice.

Pitmaster BBQ

A unique blend of Bavarian tradition and otherworldly charm. Patrons will enjoy a selection of authentic German dishes like bratwurst, schnitzel, sauerkraut, and pretzels, all infused with a cosmic twist to tantalize the taste buds. Featuring the talented Chef Tim Grandinetti of Spring House Kitchen, Restaurant & and Bar; Chef Lance Cook of Forsyth County Club; and Chef Niki Farrington of Graylyn Estates.

German Beer Garden

This culinary adventure will transport guests to the vibrant streets of Asia with a tidal wave of umami flavors. A fusion of traditional Asian street food markets and futuristic elements, creating a dynamic and immersive gastronomic journey that celebrates the rich culinary traditions of the East. Featuring the talented Chef Todd Martin of Six Hundredº Live Fire Kitchen and Chef John Bobby of Bobby Boy Bakery, and US Foods.

Umami Tsunami

 A vibrant celebration of Latin American flavors and culture, creating a fiesta for the senses. This station's colorful and lively atmosphere will showcase a diverse range of Latin American cuisines, including Mexican, Peruvian, Colombian, and more. Guests will indulge in traditional dishes like tacos, empanadas, ceviche, and arepas, all bursting with bold and spicy flavors that reflect the region's culinary heritage. This station is brought to you by Tony Calero of Purple Crow, Master Chef Don McMillian of Simple and Delicious Recipes on You Tube..

Latin X

Showcasing the diverse and vibrant flavors of countries such as Greece, Italy, Spain, and Morocco, this station will offer a tantalizing array of dishes that highlight the region's rich culinary traditions. From savory Greek gyros and Italian pasta to Spanish paella and Moroccan tagines, the menu at the Mediterranean station will be a feast for the senses. This station will feature the creations of Second Harvest's very own Chef Vanessa Lanier, Executive Chef of Providence; Chef Shereen Goma of Delicious by Shereen; Brad Pennell of Roosters Wood-Fired Kitchen; and Chef John Tharpe of The Spotted Cow. 

Mediterranean 

David Bowen of Easy Talk and Ginger Fox and Conner Sexton of Six Hundred Degrees Live Fire Kitchen will serve up a unique selection of beverages to complement the diverse event menus. Guests will enjoy handcrafted cocktails made with premium spirits and fresh ingredients, sample local wines that showcase the terroir of the region, and savor artisanal beers brewed with care and passion. Craft beer and brews provided by Lowes Foods.
